When someone says they are a graduate of Uniformed Services University, there is a legacy of groundbreaking research, policy, doctors, nurses, and innovation that go with that degree, however, the university remains largely unknown to civilian entities. Powered By USU captures the mission and drive of the university in a way that champions those saying it, but creates space for those hearing about university for the first time to understand there is a history worth looking into and getting excited about.

School of Medicine

The School of Medicine specifically is looking to recruit at civilian state schools around the country. The mission was to break down "who joined the military" and introduce new people to the idea that people from all backgrounds and statures find a home in the uniformed services. Several of these stories have been quoted in med school interviews as a reason that students decided to apply to the program.

Bushmaster

The two week final course for doctors and nurses is one of the biggest differentiating factors of the USU curriculum and leaves a lasting impression. These videos are part of a series that asked notable alums what they remembered from their experience. VADM Forrest Faison, the Navy Surgeon General, gave a particularly moving testimony that has become one of the top recruiting tools in the history of the program.
